On Friday 22nd December 2012, Eric Pickles MP, Secretary of State for the Department of Communities and Local Government, announced that he is minded to approve the planning application for a Strategic Rail Freight Interchange on the site of the former Radlett Aerodrome.
This follows a 6 year campaign that included 2 Public Inquiries and a case in the High Court.
Obviously, this is devastating news for this area of South West Hertfordshire, particularly St Albans, and the villages of London Colney, Park Street and Radlett.
