I believe that if the APC is allowed to sell off part of the Scrubbitts wood area for development described as “affordable rent flats” it would be against the terms of the Radlett Society which exists in part to preserve the countryside. I believe that Scrubbitts wood should be preserved for future generations and not be sold off and urbanised as described in the Annual Report of the APC. This is an amenity which is now and always should be for those without (or with) gardens to be able to sit and picnic or to wander through the area and see the natural habitat of plants, trees, birds, insects and wildflowers. If the APC considers that part has to be used for anything else it should certainly not be an outright sale. The early descriptions of this site were down-playing the area and were totally inaccurate and I wonder how they might explain how this error crept in. As the Radlett Society will know that the site is of tremendous commercial value and fronts onto one of the most expensive roads in Radlett. This has been corrected in the latest APC report.

This site seems not to have been updated for a long time! I was hoping to find the date and information about this year’s AGM.
